GoodName is an invite-only trust verification service for modern dating. This Privacy Policy explains what information GoodName collects, how it is used, who it may be shared with, and the choices you have. By using GoodName you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, mobile phone number, identity verification artifacts, vouches, takes, and other content you submit. We also collect technical and usage information such as device identifiers, IP address, browser type, and interactions with the service.
Identity verification may be performed through Stripe Identity or other vetted processors. We retain only the verification result and minimum data necessary to operate the service.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to operate GoodName, verify identity and phone ownership, protect account security, prevent fraud and abuse, support trust and safety review, comply with legal obligations, and improve the service.
SMS and Phone Verification
GoodName may collect your mobile phone number when you choose to verify your account or opt in to SMS. GoodName may send SMS related to phone verification, SMS opt-in confirmation, verification reminders, and account/security activity. These messages are transactional and are not marketing, promotional, dating alerts, or marketplace alerts.
Message frequency varies based on your verification activity. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Opting out may prevent you from completing phone verification or using features that require a verified phone number.
GoodName does not sell, rent, share, or transfer mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent information to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Phone numbers may be processed by our service providers (for example, Twilio) only as needed to deliver verification messages, operate the service, prevent abuse, comply with law, or protect users and the platform.
How Information Is Shared
We share information only with service providers that help us operate GoodName (such as identity verification, SMS delivery, hosting, and analytics), when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of GoodName and its users. We do not sell personal information, and we do not sell or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent information for marketing or promotional purposes.
Data Retention and Security
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect.
Your Choices
